Developed economies are driven mainly by the private-public sector partnership especially by encouraging small and growing businesses with purposeful political leadership.

Research has shown that small and medium businesses has collectively provided more jobs than they have done respectively. It is therefore necessary to recognize and celebrate these captains of industries and organizations who are blazing the trail in innovation and job creation.

Delta Heritage Awards is an exclusive award that seeks to reward excellence and commitment to businesses operating with proven results in Delta State. It also recognizes outstanding individuals who have positively impacted the economy of the state through their own little ways in terms of philanthropy and empowerment.

The idea behind the awards is to imbibe a culture of excellence in young and emerging business. Moreso, to  showcase thriving businesses in Delta State that will serve as a model for others to emulate.

The maiden edition of the awards was held at Swiss Spirit Hotel, Asaba on August 25th 2016. It was the first of its kind, and it recognized and rewarded outstanding individuals and corporate organizations who have contributed positively to the growth of the economy. This year’s edition which will be hosted in Asaba, the state capital promises to be glamorous and insightful with the theme: Unlocking Delta’s Revenue Prospects Beyond Oil; A Private Sector Approach, as awards will be given to deserving individuals and corporate organizations. There will also be a summit session where CEO’s, entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs with interest in expanding their business will interact with key influencers and decision makers in different sectors of the economy of the state, as well as initiate new business ideas and relationships.
